Data Bank Goals

The (Data Bank) is currently managed by Yemeni staff under the supervision of the Petroleum Exploration and Production Authority. This project is considered one of the strategic projects in the field of petroleum industry in Yemen, this project aims to receive, examine, process, analyze and save all old and modern petroleum information and data related to all petroleum sectors in Yemen in accordance with international standards adopted in petroleum information/data management systems. The Data Bank also aims to:

The existence of a single source of data and technical information about petroleum activities, and ensuring they are correct, complete and integral. This data must be of high quality and reliability, and must be available in a safe and easily accessible place
Data management
Data management and providing an easy access for users. Boosting investments and giving Yemen a competitive advantage in attracting new investors in the oil and gas sector
monitor and control
Improving the Authority's ability to monitor and control the activities of production and exploration companies by providing high-quality technical reports on the work carried out by those companies.
Establishing and interpret
Establishing a unit to process and interpret primary information, and carry out studies and research related to the oil and gas sector.
Saving time
Saving time and money in reducing investments in this field by companies operating in Yemen by lowering the following expenses:

data bank development project (DPDB)
The Data Bank and the data bank development project (DPDB) are an important source of information for investors, companies and those interested in the oil industry in Yemen. Information are collected from multiple sources such as oil companies, relevant ministries, government institutions and relevant international organizations. The Petroleum Data Bank aims to enhance transparency, improve the management of the oil sector in Yemen, and provide a reliable environment for investment in this sector. It also contributes to strengthening the capabilities of national cadres in the field of oil industry and data analysis
