The PEPA made many achievements during the past years before and during the aggression against Yemen, despite the limited capabilities and facing many difficulties, which were represented in many aspects, the most important of which were the following:

Successful exploration operations in promising sectors:

PEPA worked to promote and facilitate exploratory activities, which led to the discovery of new oil and gas reserves, attracting many companies, implementing advanced exploration techniques, for example (drilling in Basement rock), and conducting successful drilling operations.

Improve productivity:

PEPA has implemented strategies and initiatives to improve oil and gas production rates from existing fields. This included techniques for field management, improving operational efficiency, and adopting advanced technology to increase recovery rates.

Strengthening the organization:

PEPA has made some regulatory reforms and improvements in order to create a more transparent, efficient and attractive environment for investors. Which worked to simplify the processes of obtaining licenses for all production and service companies, in accordance with the standards for this aspect, and to ensure compliance with environmental and safety laws.

Safety and Environment:

PEPA emphasis on health, safety, and environmental considerations in the oil and gas sector, aiming to prevent environmental accidents through monitoring and supervision. The most recent example of this is the supervision of the Safer storage vessel to prevent an environmental catastrophe and any oil spills in the Red Sea area.

Monitoring and reporting:

PEPA evaluated the performance of oil and gas activities within its jurisdiction. By providing regular reports on production levels, reserve estimates, and environmental impact assessments. This allows the PEPA to conduct effective oversight and take appropriate decisions at the appropriate time.
